Top 5 Herbs to Plant in your Planter for Winter

No matter whether you live where its warm or cold in winter planting herbs to use in your cooking is amazingly easy.

There are two things to take into consideration.

  1. Where you live, do you live in an apartment or a house.

2. The weather you live in. Is it hot or cold?

Next think about where you are going to put them.

  1. In a planter by a window inside

  2. In a window box

  3. Directly into the garden.

  4. On your balcony

Each of these are great places and work well depending on your weather.


For inside planting the best thing is to buy your self a self-watering planter box and find a nice window that gets some sun during the day. Morning sun is best if possible.


The most common herbs to use and in your food and the easiest to grow are:

  1. Parsley (flat or curly leaf)

  2. Sweet Basil

  3. Sage

  4. Thyme

  5. Oregano

Why should you plant herbs?

It is not only easy but also a healthy, tasty addition to any meal or condiment.

Herbs have a multitude of goodness and each have lots of vitamins and minerals that are of benefit to the body.

They also make things taste great!!
