2 WAYS MAGNESIUM RELIEVES ANXIETY & STRESS


Do you have a busy life? Are you feeling stressed and overwhelmed? There are ways to assist your body to reduce this feeling.  


Magnesium is an amazing mineral that assists with nervous system regulation.  It helps regulate the pathways that send messages to your brain and nervous system. It plays a critical role in brain function and mood and low levels of magnesium has been linked to an increase in depression.  


Most people are deficient in magnesium due to all of the processed and refined foods we eat.  These foods are stripped of all vitamin, mineral and fibre content, and when we ingest them, they then steal the magnesium in your body, in order to be metabolised.


So magnesium is super important to our systems.  Two easy ways to put magnesium into our bodies so we don't deplete our stores are:


  1. Magnesium cream. Find a good quality magnesium cream or oil.   This is a  quick and effective way of getting magnesium into the body.

  2. An Epsom salts bath.  If you don't have a bath then get a tub and soak your feet.  I recommend at least once a week, but if you are having a bad day, feeling tense or         having a stressful spell, do it daily. It will make an amazing difference.


Self-care is a very important practice. We all have stressful times in our lives and if we don't look after ourselves it can spiral out of control. Implementing these simple steps in your life, as a normal routine, will help to regulate your stress levels.  


Research has shown us that anxiety and stress can trigger significant increases in inflammatory activities in our body, which can cause depression, rheumatoid arthritis and chronic illness and pain.
